The need of young people to meet and be able to express their thoughts, constantly emerges in the various places of debate between those involved in youth policies.

Today, the occasions in which young people are users of initiatives or leisure opportunities appear prevalent and their involvement is limited to the "consumption" of this or that proposal.

Without renouncing to this necessary offer of opportunities, it is necessary to put in place a network capable of arousing their questions, bringing out their desires, giving light to their own projects and initiatives.

Boys and girls ask to be listened to, to be able to meaningfully appear, to contribute to the decision making processes in the different environments they live in: at school, in associations, in voluntary work, in sports groups, in cultural circles, in the field of social and political commitment.

This means having concrete possibilities to develop one's resources, potential and motivations within an environment capable of welcoming, recognizing, integrating and enhancing.

For these reasons the Pizzarotti Foundation in collaboration with the Municipality of Parma has created "The Growing City", a path aimed at collecting cultural proposals to be carried out in Parma with the goal of identifyiing innovative forms of harmonization of the spaces in the daily life of citizens, especially the younger ones.

The Call provides for the provision of € 20,000.00 over the period 2021 - 2022, for one or more projects that can enhance areas in the city of Parma through cultural proposals designed to stimulate active citizenship and social cohesion.

Youth Associations based in Parma and its province can participate in "The Growing City".

Participations may be single or associated - from informal groups, Third Sector realities, cultural bodies and institutions - provided that the association or the informal group is of youthful nature.
